The Serbian army, coming up from the south of the country, met the Austrian army at the Ba
The Serbian army, coming up from the south of the country, met the Austrian army at the Battle of Cer on 12 August.
The Serbians occupied defensive positions against the Austrians. The first attack came on August 16, between parts of the 21st Austro--Hungarian division and parts of the Serbian Combined division. In harsh night-time fighting, the battle ebbed and flowed, until Stepa Stepanovic rallied the Serbian line. Three days later the Austrians retreated across the Danube, having suffered 21,000 casualties as against 16,000 Serbian. This marked the first major Allied victory of the war. The Austrians had not achieved their main goal of eliminating Serbia, and it became increasingly likely that Germany would have to maintain forces on two fronts...
The Battle of Cer (August 12-24. 1914) was one of the most glorious in the military history of Serbian people. Victory achieved by the Serbian Army in this battle was the first allied victory in the First World War (1914-1918). In the crucial part of the operation, on the Mt. Cer, Austro-Hungarian Fifth Army was defeated and pushed back across River Drina.
The Battle of Drina (September 6. - November 11. 1914) was the most difficult battle waged by the Serbian Army in WWI, particularly battles around middle flow of River Drina, battles of Gucevo and Mackov Kamen. It also stopped the second offensive of Austro-Hungarian Army on Serbia.
The Battle of Kolubara (November 16. - December 15. 1914) and the victory of the Serbian Army contributed to Serbian respect among the allies. In the final phase of the battle, in only 13 days, the Serbian Army managed to expel the enemy from the country and re-establish the fronts on Drina and Sava rivers.
The Battle near Mojkovac (January 6-7. 1916), in which Montenegrin Sandzak Army successfully defended itself against Austro-Hungarin offensive, significantly alleviated the operations of the Serbian Army, enabling it to withdraw its troops trough Montenegro towards Albania.
Albanian Golgotha - Retreat of the Serbian Army (November 1915 - January 1916), also known as "Serbian Golgotha through Albanian gorges" was carried out in the conditions of strong frost, hunger, fatigue, illness and almost every day battles against Bulgarians, Austria-Hungary and Albanians. Some 100,000 soldiers and refugees lost their lives during this legendary march-maneuver of the Serbian Army, which was compared by various historians with Napoleon's and Suvorov's crossing the Alps.
Thessaloniki front (1916-1918) encompasses battles waged by the Entente forces against Central forces on the territory from the Orfan Bay, across Greece and Albania, to the Ionian Sea. In September 1916, the Serbian Army took part in the allied offensive, occupying Kajmakcalan after fierce struggle against Bulgarian forces.
Breakthrough of the Thessaloniki front and allied offensive in autumn 1918, in which the Serbian Army played a crucial role, belong to the most successful operations of the WW I.
Its participation in the WW I Serbia paid with more than million people (some 22% of the population, 58% of male population) and Montenegro lost around 50,000 people (1/8 of the entire population). From 707.000 mobilized men during the war, only less than 130.000 returned home at the end of the war.

The heaps of bodies tossed into vats of sulphuric acid at the Trepca mines.NATO spokesman Jamie Shea said there were 100,000 Kosovo Albanian Muslims unaccounted for.Problem is, none of it happened.NATO's original estimate of 100,000 ethnic Albanians slaughtered, later revised downward to 10,000, turns out to be considerably exaggerated.Dr. Peter Markesteyn, a Winnipeg forensic pathologist, was among the first war crimes investigators to arrive in Kosovo after NATO ended its bombing campaign."We were told there were 100,000 bodies everywhere," said Dr. Markesteyn. "We performed 1,800 autopsies -- that's it."Fewer than 2,000 corpses. None found in the Trepca mines. No remains in the vats of sulphuric acid. Most found in isolated graves -- not in the mass graves NATO warned about. It was William Walker, at the time head of the Kosovo Verification Mission (KVM) who, on the morning of January 16, 1999, led the press to the Kosovo village of Racak, a KLA stronghold. There some 20 bodies were found in a shallow trench, and 20 more were found scattered throughout the village. The KLA terrorists, and Walker, alleged that masked Serb policemen had entered the village the previous day, and killed men, women and children at close range, after torturing and mutilating them. Chillingly, the Serb police were said to have whistled merrily as they went about their work of slaughtering the villagers.Clinton's Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, as eager to scratch her ever itchy trigger finger as her boss was to scratch his illimitable sexual itches, demanded that Yugoslavia be bombed immediately. Albright, like a kid agonizingly counting down the hours to Christmas, would have to wait until after Milosevic's rejection of NATO's ultimata at Rambouillet to get her wish.But not everyone was so sure that William Walker's story was to be believed. The French newspaper La Monde had some trouble swallowing the story. It reported on Jan. 21, 1999, a few days after the incident, that an Associated Press TV crew had filmed a gun battle at Racak between Serb police and KLA terrorists. Indeed, the crew was present because the Serbs had tipped them off that they were going to enter the village to arrest a man accused of shooting a police officer. Also present were two teams of KVM monitors.It seems unlikely that if you're about to carry out a massacre that you would invite the press -- and international observers -- to watch.And now there's a report that the Finnish forensic pathologists who investigated the incident on behalf of the European Union, say there was no evidence of a massacre. In an article to be published in Forensic Science International at the end of February, the Finnish team writes that none of the bodies were mutilated, there was no evidence of torture, and only one was shot at close range.
The pathologists say Walker was quick to come to the conclusion that there was a massacre, even though the evidence was weak.And they point out that there is no evidence that the deceased were from Racak.The KLA terrorists, the Serbs charge, faked the massacre by laying out their fallen comrades in the trench they, themselves, prepared, and the United States used the staged massacre as a pretext for the bombing.

Over 1,300 Kosovo Serbs in addition to those for whom we know they have been killed and wh
Over 1,300 Kosovo Serbs in addition to those for whom we know they have been killed and whose remains were handed over to their families by the U.N.M.I.K during the past 8 years, are still listed as missing. In some cases the entire families were kidnapped by the K.L.A at some point during the 1998-1999 war, and after U.N and NATO took over the administration and security of the southern Serbian province. These people were taken away in an unknown direction and, for all we know, disappeared from the face of the earth.
Over the years, we have learned that a number of kidnapped Kosovo Serb girls and women have been used as sex slaves, kept under the lock and key in the dark moldy cellars of Albanian bar and brothel owners, underfed, repeatedly raped and beaten, until they are deemed no longer useful and killed like dogs!
There were also reports in the Serbian media about Kosovo Serb boys and men being forced to work in unsecured, illegal private mines, but with uncooperative U.N.M.I.K and indifferent Kay-for no investigation was ever initiated, and Serbian families of the Kosovo & Metohia missing, are still without answers.
Now, however, the much discussed Carla del Pontae's book, "The Hunt", offers a harrowing detail, revealing why have Serbian men been kidnapped throughout Kosovo province during past years instead of being killed on the spot, as is the usual K.L.A treatment for all non-Albanians, especially those of Serbian ethnicity: because they were used as a livestock for organ harvesting in the illegal trade with human organ transplants.
According to Glas Yavnosti, writing about one of the failed investigations regarding the fate of around 300 abducted Kosovo Serbs who were taken to northern Albania, Del Pontae says that the kidnapped young men were not beaten and were well fed. There was an improvised surgery room in one of the houses, where young Serbs had their internal organs removed to be shipped over the Tirana airport "Mother Theresa" abroad, where the organs of the healthy young Serbs were sold.
Families of kidnapped Kosovo Serbs have brought photos to remind of their missing loved ones to the big rally in the Serbian capital on February 21, 2008.
The victims who had only one kidney removed during the first carve-up were suchered and returned to imprisonment, to live until they would get killed for their other vital organs, when the right buyer is found. According to Carla del Pontae, the Serbs held in this monstrous human stable Josef Mengele would envy, begged to be killed.
Sworn Serbian enemy, Del Pontae describes Kosovo & Metohia province under the NATO rule as a land with no laws and institutions, the land of blood feuds ruled by the thugs who present themselves as heroes of the alleged "suffering Albanian people". She claims that U.N.M.I.K and kay-for officials, and even some ICTY judges in the Hague tribunal are fearful for their lives if connected to the K.L.A crime investigations, and feel threatened by the so-called "Albanian reach"!
In her book, Del Pontae says that those few and far-in-between investigations of the terrorist K.L.A were the hardest during her appointment as the ICTY chief prosecutor, that her researches were confronted by the clans, vendettas and political pressures, and that quote, "policemen from Bern and Brussels and all the way to the Bronx", unquote, are well aware about the insurmountable difficulties when it comes to the attempts to investigate Albanian organized crime.
It is sure that the upcoming Del Ponae's book will reveal many more hideous crimes perpetrated by the K.L.A terrorists, who like to call themselves freedom fighters. The truth will come out, and hopefully, these animals will pay for their inhumane attrocities committed against the innocent Serbian people during the war in 1999.
In the end, we would just like to remind you that the K.L.A, short for Kosovo Liberation Army, was recognized as a terrorist organization. Yet, a few days ago the American president George W Bush sent weapons to Kosovo for these animals, so they can kill Serbian people more easily. The world has to wake up to the fact that Kosovo has become the drug and sex slaves traficking capital of Europe, and all the Western countries' governments are remaining silent over this! One more fact is that all of the K.L.A commanders are yet to meet justice in the International Tribunal for Warcrimes in the Hague! Not a single one of them have been prosecuted to this day!
These are all important facts that have been purposely neglected in the news reports of the Western mainstream media! Please help spreading the truth by informing people about these monstrocities! It is the only way that those who committed these hideous crimes be punished and brought to justice, so nothing like this will ever happen anywhere else in the world!
