Sasha lost the pommel! His routine was absolutely AMAZING if you edit out the falling part. I can't wait for him to get it down and rock Worlds next year! Now that boy HAS to stay for 2012!

Shawn and Nastia also medalled on FX, like we predicted, but not quite the way I assumed. I'd keep the gold the same, but I thought Nastia deserved a higher score. That was her best FX ever! Maybe even surpasses AA. However, I'm glad Shawn at least finished above Nastia because Shawn couldn't beat Nastia in AA and you know she wanted to (badly).

I'm more excited for our boys because everyone doubted them (plus I like MAG more than WAG for some reason) so the bronze was AMAZING!

But Nastia and Shawn going one-two??? ARE YOU KIDDING? HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? IT'S AMAZING! I hoped, but didn't expect it. I'm so happy for them!

I can't wait for Event Finals. Shawn MUST medal on FX. Nastia and Shawn should both medal on BB and I see Nastia medalling on UB. As for the guys, I hope Jon gets a HB medal (he said he was going to add another move to his routine -- and if he falls, then he's going to throw a crazy dismount for the audience -- only Jon!) even though I can't see him beating Igor Cassina and hopefully not Fabian (that boy broke my heart at AA). Sasha I predict will medal on PH.

I definitely agree that they should have gone with Sasha. At this point, we just need to throw it all out there and hope for the best.

I am going to call these the Goodwill Games. Let all of our injured athletes compete and fulfill their dreams. We'll get our medals in London. ^_^ It follows the pattern: 2000, 2004, now 2008....

Definitely. I almost cried. I'm still in shock.... I can't believe it! The biggest problem is we didn't see it coming. If it had happened at Readiness, maybe it would be better, but we thought he was definitely on his way. I'm so upset. I don't know what this does to our medal chances.

I can't wait for Paul to go to Beijing and bring back another gold! He'll be fine at the show of readiness.
