It was in April of 2003 when I had wrote this song. Shorty after my mother who was already showing signs of Alzheimer's disease was then diagnosed with lung cancer. This music video is a donation to the Alzheimer's Association and the Cancer Research Center in hope of fining the cures.

~LYRICS~ "ONLY IF I COULD"
Every day I pray for the right things to say every day I pray for you Time and time again can't seem to catch my breathe I'm feeling so blue what can I do, what can I do I'd be your night in shinning armour if I could I'd take away the bad and leave you with the good I'd heal your every pain and with each drop of rain I'd make another day for you.... Only if I could, only if I could...
Every night it seems the hours just settle in And every dream I have it's like remembering Every breath I take reminds me in every way of you What can I do... What can I do...
Every day I pray for the right things to say and every day I pray for you What can I do
I'd be your night in shinning armour if I could I'd take away the bad and leave you with the good I'd heal your every pain and with each drop of rain I'd make another day for you, only if I could, only if I could, only if I could, only if I could... Only if I could...

"I'LL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU" (Amazing Grace & The Old Rugged Cross)
I asked my momma today what will I do when you're gone She's getting up in age and her memories are not as strong And she said, play Amazing Grace and the Old Rugged Cross
And she spoke of her will what to do when she is gone tears fell from my eyes for my heart it's not that strong
And she said, don't worry baby I won't be far away I'll always be with you and we'll meet again someday
Her wish is to leave this world before I do I looked her in the eyes and I said forgive me momma if I leave before you I said, play Amazing Grace and the Old Rugged Cross I said, don't worry momma I won't be far away I'll always be with you and we'll meet again someday
I said my prayers tonite I asked the Lord what will you do and he said, Don't worry child I'm not far away, I'll always be with you and we'll meet someday I heard, Amazing Grace and the Old Rugged Cross.

"Where's My Fathers Love"
Yeah, I can wish and I can dream (wish and dream)of a Father who put his arms around me (yeah)
I can hope and I can pray (hope and pray) there will come a time there will come a day
It's so sad, (so sad) yeah, (yeah) where's my fathers love, yeah
And when I need his shoulder to cry on (and I cry) I just close my eyes and pretend real hard and I'll hear him say it'll be okay and I love you with all my heart
It's so sad, (so sad) yeah, (yeah) 'Cause he left me all alone since the day that I was born
It's so sad, (so sad) yeah (yeah) And I can't take another day of him pushing me away
Now I know I have to be strong 'cause I can't take his ways No love should feel this wrong to hurt me night and day
He's so far away I can only say he will realize someday
It's so sad, (so sad) yeah, (yeah) where's my fathers love, my fathers love, yeah.
And I can wish and I can dream (wish and dream) of a Father who put his arms around me
It's so sad, (it's so sad) yeah, (yeah) 'cause he left me all alone since the day that I was born and I can't take another day of him pushing me away
It's so sad, (so sad) yeah, (yeah) where's my fathers love, where's my fathers love
It's so sad, (so sad) yeah, (yeah) where's my fathers love, where's my fathers love
My father love, my fathers love, where's my father love, yeah, yeah, fathers love (fathers love) where's my fathers love, (yeah) father love yeah.
It's so sad (so sad) yeah, (yeah) where's my father love, (fathers love) my fathers love (fathers love) yeah.

"How Do I Justify"
Been hanging on too long it seems too hard to make up my mind I definitely went back to the end of the line Can't finish what I started just makes me feel blue I can't do just what it takes no matter what I do
How do I justify living in the times of self-pity Aww, mercy mercy mercy me If I could only be who I want to be
It's all to nit and grity It seems so chitty chitty Aww, isn't it a pity No iddy-biddy
Avoiding what it really means I'm talking 'bout waisting time I evidentally fell back to the end of the line Can't seem to take away what I've already done No, I can't justify myself into having fun
How do I justify living in the times of self-pitty Aww, mercy mercy mercy me If I could only be who I want to be It's all to nit and gritty - Seems so chitty chitty Aww, isn't it a pity No iddy-biddy
How do I justify living in the times of self-pity Oh, mercy mercy mercy me If I could only be who I want to be How do I justify (justify) Justify, How do I justify living in the times of self pitty How do I justify, justify

Music video for the Alzheimer's Association to help find a cure for this disease.
--Inspirations--
In the beginning stages of Alzheimer's Disease my mother participated in a study to help find a cure. She proudly said she wanted to do her part! She did not want her children, grandchildren or anyone for that matter to get this unforgiving disease. I imagine my mother (with Alzheimer's) as an Angel, rather a one wing Angel that cannot fly. She deserves to fly, as does anyone that has lost or will lose something so precious and dear as their memories.
I was the Director for the Union Rescue Mission's Thrift Store which was a Shelter for the Homeless. I never knew I could love a job so much! It felt so good inside to help others. A long story, short - - As I had spoke with the Alzheimer's Association a few years ago about starting a Thrift Store with the proceeds going to the Alzheimer's Association to help find a cure. I want to call this store "The Lost and Found" - (is the meaning to the lyric; "Build it and they will come")
If you think this is a good or even a bad idea please leave a comment. I hope to be speaking with the Alzheimer's Association again about my ideas to help find a cure for this disease.
Feeling the past few years I've rather reached the end of my rope, so-to-say. So I want to also thank the wonderful people here on YouTube for their more than inspiring videos, friendships and kindness. Merry Christmas, Carol Sue :)
Bless your hearts and preserve your minds. Love, Carol Sue
~LYRICS~ "The Lost and Found"
So much the mind has to remember which way to go and who is who Sadly each and every memory doesn't find it's way through The merry-go-round
In this space full of hope and dream where silence is hearing sound all the fragments of a broken thought are seeing blindness all around
Life's a merry-go-round to the lost and found
Build it and they will come Wish it and it will be Help put the puzzle together and find a cure for this disease
Life's a merry-go-round Life's a merry-go-round Life is a merry-go-round To the lost and found
If I could fly on a wing of a one wing angel If I could hold the magic wand to understand the fabel
Life's a merry-go-round to the lost and found
If I could fly on a wing If I could fly on a wing If I could fly on a wing of a one wing angel Life's a merry-go-round, it's a merry-go-round it's a merry-go-round to the lost and found.
Build it and they will come Wish it and it will be...
